Design process

Starting in Figma, I focused on creating a minimalistic yet playful web design. The goal was to effectively showcase my work while maintaining visual consistency throughout. Multiple iterations were needed to find the right balance between professional presentation and personal character. I spent considerable time fine-tuning, images, typography, spacing, and interactive elements.

Development tools

  • VSCode for writing and structuring code
  • Claude AI for code optimization and accessibility improvements
  • Builder.io for generating complex graphical elements
  • Spline for creating and integrating the 3D self-portrait animation
  • Various JavaScript libraries for smooth animations and interactions

Technical challenges

One of the most challenging aspects was maintaining perfect pixel consistency while ensuring responsiveness across devices. Small adjustments often had unexpected ripple effects throughout the site. A simple change in one component could affect the entire layout, requiring extensive testing and refinement.

Iterative Refinement

The development process has been highly iterative, with constant back-and-forth between design and implementation. Each element required careful consideration of its impact on the whole:

  • Spacing adjustments
  • Animation timing
  • Responsive behavior
  • Performance optimization

Technical challenges

The project has been an exercise in attention to detail, where perfection is a constant pursuit rather than a destination. It highlighted the delicate balance between design ambition and technical implementation, teaching valuable lessons about the importance of systematic approach to both design and development.
